Warm up & exploring different color palettes

After doing a figure study warm up from a classical sculpture, I did some reading/ browsing on the web and decided to experiment with other artist’s palettes this week and the result was favorable.. I will definitely try this again . I found this both a nice change up on things and looking at color from others perspective.

A while back I looked at the Zorn palette,(yellow ochre, vermilion, flake white & ivory black… that’s it.) and played with that a bit (Legendary piece) and decided to venture out a bit with changes in my approach to color.

The colors for the WIP images of “Studypaint “are: Hansa yellow, cadmium yellow med, transparent red oxide, vermilion, alizarin crimson, ultramarine blue, pthalo green, burnt umber & cerulean blue.
